Job Title: Teller/Customer Service

 

Chappell Hill Bank – Chappell Hill, TX
 
Position Summary: You will perform a wide variety of transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers and withdrawals while adhering to established operational policies and procedures. Equally important is the ability to resolve customer inquiries quickly and efficiently, delivering an extraordinary customer experience. Tellers are the faces of our Bank to many of our customers and non-customers alike. Tellers help customers meet their financial goals by handling routine financial transactions and giving a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the bank.
Minimum Qualifications:
·       High School Diploma or Equivalent required
·       Minimum six months of experience in Cash handling and Customer Service, or Previous Banking experience preferred.
·       Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·       Basic clerical and processing skills
·       Effective interpersonal/customer service skills
·       Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills
·       Good computer skills.
·       Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers
·       Ability to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.
·       Must be able to work a flexible schedule including late Fridays and Saturdays.

·       Must successfully pass background investigation according to company policy.

Essential Duties
·       Be the smiling face that greets customers when they enter the bank.
·       Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with bank procedures, to record all transactions accurately and balance each day’s operations.
·       Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements.
·       Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks and identification.
·       Enter transactions into computer and issue customer receipts.
·       Process wire transfers.
·       Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the bank and its functions.
·       Provide a great customer service experience by answering questions and being a resource to customers.
·       Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers.
·       Know and ensure compliance to all banking regulations to include Regulation CC and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
·       Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
·       May assist with servicing/balancing ATM
·       May utilize the proof capture system.

Job Title: Cashier/Bank Operations Manager

Position Summary: The bank Cashier/Operations manager will be active in managing the operations of the bank and become a part of the executive management team. Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining profits and losses for the bank by building and retaining relationships with all customers. Ensuring all aspects of bank operations are in compliance with all applicable state and Federal laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is expected to oversee training of employees, monitor staff, schedule staff and ensure that employees follow the standards and procedures of the institution. They have to develop goals and establish priorities for the bank and its employees. The Bank operations manager is expected to have a detailed knowledge of the banking system, including general ledger, cash flow, budgets, and statistical analysis techniques. A general knowledge of computer systems is essential as the bank utilizes various networking tools and software programs to run the day-to-day communication and operations of the bank.
 
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Supervise all deposit and accounting operations of the bank including Tellers, New Accounts, Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Cash Vault, Wire Transfers, Investments and Proof Operations.
Responsible for the preparation of all regulatory reports including the quarterly Call Report, tax filings, as well as other reports that may be requested by the various regulatory agencies.
Work as part of the Asset/Liability Management Committee placing investments and maintaining all Security Investment records for the Bank.
Review and maintain Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Bank to ensure that the Bank remains in compliance with all of the laws and regulations which govern a State Bank.
Act as BSA officer overseeing the filing of Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports with the FFIEC. Ensure the staff and Board of Directors receive annual training in BSA.
Perform Internal audits to ensure the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the bank's internal controls and operating systems.
Work with the IT technicians to maintain the computer network of the bank. Perform IT risk assessments.
Act as HR Officer responsible for advertising and reviewing applications for employment. Interview potential employees and provide them with the information on the Bank and its benefits package. Enroll all employee's in the Bank's Health Insurance and 401K plans and maintain all employee records.
Oversee payroll, manage contracts with insurance agencies, vendors, service providers and leasing agents.
 
Serve on select internal committees
 
Compensation will be based on experience
